Senecia has 9 years of volleyball experience.
Senecia was a standout defender for Weston Ranch High School, where she served as a 3-year-varsity Middle Blocker. During her time at Weston Ranch, Senecia was named captain of her team, elected Most Valuable Player (2019), Female Athlete of the Year (2019), and earned First Team All-League honors in 2019.
After high school, Senecia was brought in as Junior Varsity Head Coach at her alum, Weston Ranch High School (2019). The following year, Senecia signed on as Varsity Head Coach at Weston Ranch, where she remained in that role for 2 years.
In 2022, Senecia moved away from her familiar beginnings and was brought on as Junior Varsity Head Coach at Manteca High School. She is currently going into her second year with Manteca High, where she will continue to work alongside her mentor, Delta Valley 18s Blue, Head Coach Robin Chandler.
Senecia ventured off into club volleyball in 2023, beginning as an Assistant for Delta Valley’s 17 Blue. During that time, she also took on the role of Head Coach for Golden State Volleyball’s 12 Gold.
Senecia is also a university student studying Psychology. She plans to use her to degree to enter the field of counseling.
Senecia’s empathy and optimistic attitude has become a beacon for athletes who sometimes find themselves struggling to connect to the game. Some of Senecia’ values include hard-work, consistency, and a great attitude.
Senecia reiterates the importance of staying up to date on athletes’ mental well-being as she mentions, “Volleyball is just as much of a mental game as it is a physical one.” Senecia strives to create an environment where athletes can thrive on and off the court.
